A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes

How wonderful would it be to help a child's wish come true with just a simple click of the keyboard?

That is what my friends are trying to do for their son, JT.

JT will be turning 12 years old on 12/12/12. Awesome, right??   His parents want nothing more then to make his dreams come true.  Don't we all want that for our kids?
JT's dream is to celebrate is 12th birthday in Walt Disney World.

JT had a very rough start in life.  His biologicals abused and neglected him.  He was one of the lucky ones though he make it out and into the foster system before, well, he was killed.  He was fostered by a wonderful couple who fell in love with him and adopted him on Valentine's Day.  As JT was growing up many issues started to rear their ugly head.  It turns out that he suffers from PTSD even though he was so very young when he was taken out of that abusive family.  He was also diagnosed with high function autism and Obsessive Defiance Disorder.  JT battles these obstacles each and every day.  He refuses, however, to let these challenges dictate who he wants to be.

He is a good student.

This was at a summer CSI camp program that he enjoyed.

He plays both Football and Baseball.  Loves them both and is really good too.

His biggest challenge is controlling his emotions.
He works so hard at this.  Yes I do mean HE works hard.  I have seen him start to loose control and stop, use his tools and calm down before his emotions took charge of him.

It turns out that the current economy has made it impossible for his parents to fulfill his wish.  This is totally heartbreaking for them all.  We all understand that though, don't we.  This economy has made it much harder for us to give our children what we really think and know they deserve.  We have all started to think outside the box and come up with creative ways to make holidays and birthdays special for our children.  That is exactly what my friend is doing.

He decided that maybe, just maybe, he can get a FaceBook page almost go viral in support of sending his son to Disney for his birthday.  It is his hope that he may get enough people to just 'LIKE' his page that a sponsor may see it and help get is son there.  Will it work?  Who knows yet.  What I do know is that it can't hurt.  At the very least, JT will see how many people cared enough to help make his birthday wish a reality.
He will see just how much his parents love him, that they will do just about anything to make him happy.

Won't you please help??  Just follow the link and 'LIKE' the page

If you would like, why not wish JT a happy birthday while you are there.

"A dream is a wish your heart make
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you loose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep.
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through.
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
the dream that you dream will come true"
